1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BeatCipher, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the platform. You must be at least 16 years old to use BeatCipher.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. Each person may maintain only one account.

3. User Content & Ownership

You retain full ownership of any content you upload to BeatCipher, including beats, audio files, and associated metadata.

By uploading content, you grant BeatCipher a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, stream, display, and use your content in beat comparisons, tournaments, leaderboards, and promotional materials related to the platform. This license is revocable — you can remove your content at any time by deleting or archiving your beats.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload. Uploading copyrighted material that you do not have permission to use is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the rights to
• Manipulate votes, comparisons, or tournament outcomes
• Create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the platform
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to circumvent any security features of the platform
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose

5. Battles & Tournaments

Beats are matched for head-to-head comparisons randomly within the same genre. Voting results are final and determined by community votes. Leaderboard rankings are calculated based on voting outcomes.

BeatCipher does not guarantee any particular outcome, ranking, or level of exposure for your beats. Tournament brackets, seedings, and matchups are determined by the platform and are not subject to appeal.

6. Free & Pro Tiers

BeatCipher offers a free tier limited to 5 active beats, and a Pro tier with unlimited beats and advanced analytics.

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

7. Purchase Links

Producers may add purchase links to their beats pointing to external platforms such as BeatStars, Airbit, Traktrain, or custom URLs. BeatCipher facilitates discovery by displaying these links but is not a party to any transaction between a producer and a buyer. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, or fulfillment of any external purchase.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time through the platform settings.

9. Disclaimers

BeatCipher is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the platform's availability, reliability, or suitability for any particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the platform will be free from errors.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeatCipher and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of BeatCipher after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
